There is so much joy in what we do here.
My ears are still ringing. My fists are still pumping. My legs are still jumping. The Hold Steady was amazing. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. They rocked the Picador in Iowa City last night and two friends and I drove down from Minneapolis and camped overnight. They have so much energy and they project that so well onto the crowd. My friends and I started together in the third row off to the left and then got seperated once the Hold Steady started their set. I ended up in the middle, about three rows back, drenched in sweat and a fair amount of beer that got poured on me about a half hour in. If you ever get a chance to see these guys, take it. They know how to put on a great show and I would see them again in a heartbeat. I think my favorite songs from last night were: Cattle & the Creeping Things, Constructive Summer and You Can Make Him Like You. Peace.
