The Lagoon Theater in Minneapolis screened an extended version of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis this week.  I had never seen it but wanted to after seeing M a while ago.  I had never seen a silent film in a theater before, but I thoroughly enjoyed this piece of film history.  I’m happy to see that there are theaters still dedicated to showing classic films and modern alternatives to mainstream movies.  It’s reassuring as a film student.  Peace.
