The Game of Life.

No, I’m not talking about the cliched metaphor for this existence we enjoy, I’m talking about the physical board game under the same title.  I played this game yesterday and I remember liking this game when I was a younger child, but now, it just doesn’t do it for me.  I came to the realization that this is just an advanced form of Candyland.  The amount of strategy involved is so small, that it’s almost as if whoever picks the highest salary card and keeps it for the longest (by avoiding the dreaded “Swap salary cards with any player”) wins.  So, as much as I enjoy playing board games, The Game of Life isn’t my favorite.  I prefer Monopoly or a good game of Trivial Pursuit.  Peace.
