College.
So I’m beginning the tedious process of applying to college. I’ve got people writing me letters of recommendation, I have taken the ACT and the SAT and I’ve chosen a few colleges to apply to. Now comes the process of putting together the applications. I’ve started filling out the Common Application which covers many private and a few public colleges, mostly out of state. It’s a good program and I hope to apply to four or five schools using that application.
Right now I feel like all the schools I am applying to are really hard to get into so I’m a little stressed that I won’t be able to go where I want. At the same time I realize that there are so many good schools out there and I feel like I could just pick one that has what I want to study and go with it. Right now, I want to study film so I’m looking at schools with renowned film programs and they all seem to be extreamly selective. This worries me a little and makes me want to know more about film schools that maybe aren’t as well known but still offer good programs. If any readers are aware of any of these schools, your input would be greatly appreciated but I will keep you updated as to my application process.
As of now I’m going to apply to: NYU, Northwestern U, UW-Madison, Ithaca College, York University and Boston U. More will be added to this list as I do more research.
