Concert at the fair.

I saw Gnarls Barkley and Cloud Cult yesterday.  It was a really good show.  They played at the Minnesota State Fair, at the Grandstand.  The weather was looking kind of bad but it held off for the majority of the time.  I went with my little brother and his buddy.  We got there early and were standing in the second row.  Cloud Cult opened at 7:30 and were really great.  They played mostly new stuff but they also did a few from their older albums.  Their set lasted about 50 minutes, which was too short I thought but they weren’t headlining so that’s expected.  Gnarls Barkley came on after and rocked the place.  They put on a great show.  They played stuff from both of their albums and even did a cover of Radiohead’s “Reckoner.”  They finished at 10 and during their last song, the State Fair fireworks started going off.  It was a perfect ending.  Again, I thought their set was too short but it had started to rain a little harder and with the fireworks and all, it was to be expected.  I’m very glad that I went and next I’m going to The Daredevil Christopher Wright’s show on Saturday, which I’m really looking forward to.  Peace.
