I can’t stop listening to: The National
I first heard this band near the end of the school year and I have been listening ever since. I have two of their albums: Boxer, their most recent, and Alligator. Both are equally amazing in my opinion and I think everyone should check them out. I got Boxer first and couldn’t stop listening to the song Slow Show. I really like the chorus, it goes like this:
“I wanna hurry home to you
put on a slow, dumb show for you
and crack you up
so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain
god I’m very, very frightening
I’ll overdo it”
On Alligator I really like Secret Meeting and Mr. November (check this out) but the whole album is really amazing. I’ve found I’m not very good at describing music, maybe it’s because I don’t play any instruments and therefore don’t know what is going on technically but who knows. I really like this guy’s voice and I can’t describe it other than I can’t stop listening and I think you should join me. Peace.
