The city so nice they named it twice.
On August 13th I will be leaving for New York City. I am very excited for this trip and I think my family and I will have a lot of fun. We have a few things planned but there will definitely be time to relax and time to explore. One thing we plan to do, that pertains to my upcoming senior year, is that we will be visiting a few colleges. I’ve decided that my dream college as of now would be NYU. I know this is a really hard school to get into but I would absolutely love to study film there. NYU has given us the likes of Martin Scorcese, Joel Coen, and Spike Lee and is one of the most prestigious film schools in the country. So, I realize that this is a high hope but I still want to apply. Who knows until you apply, right? Anyway, it will be great to visit the campus and see what it is like. I’m also excited to visit Columbia because I’ve heard they have a really cool campus, I don’t even know if I will apply but it will be great to see it.
Some other things we plan to visit include the standards like Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and the Statue of Liberty (don’t worry we’re planning to take the ferry that goes by the island, instead of landing, which I’ve heard is all kinds of bad news.) Also, we surprised my sister with tickets to Wicked, which should be fun. I think a stop by Ground Zero will take place as well as a trip to the Museum of Modern Art. I’m also excited to visit the various Seinfeld landmarks and eat at the TriBeCa Grill (Robert De Niro’s restaurant!). I’m definitely looking forward to seeing as much as I can in the time we’re there. It should be a great trip, and I’ll be posting some pictures up as often as I can. Peace.
