Marble Arch, Edgware Road

I’ve been in London for a week and a half now. I thought I made a post a few days ago updating on the flat hunt but I guess it didn’t post… don’t know about that. Anyway, it’s been a busy week. I’ve got a flat off Edgeware Road near the Marble Arch. It’s a really cool neighborhood, lots of Middle Eastern restaurants and shisha bars. It’s a quick walk to 2 tube stations and to Hyde Park. The week of flat hunting was stressful but we found a good place for a decent price.

Started Monday at my internship, running errands and making press releases mostly. Got directed to super cheap sushi place by the office (got a whole lunch for £2.75!) called Rice Wine Shop. Not a sushi connoisseur but I thought it was really good. Other then that I’ve been trying to cook as much as I can to save money, the hostel I stayed in for the first week had a kitchen so it worked out nicely.

Today was my first day of classes and they both went well. I’m taking 3 classes, a pretty open ended production course, a contemporary photography course and a British politics course. They should be good.

Getting over a cold now and looking forward to having more time to explore. Went on a little walking tour to see some landmarks in central London. Big Ben, the London Eye and whatnot. It was pretty cool, good to see a lot quickly and note which are worth coming back to. Hoping to get to the Tate or the National Gallery this weekend. Peace.
