The Road.
I just finished reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I liked it a lot. Sad, but real and with some really amazing characters and relationships. This is the first of McCarthy’s that I’ve read but I’ll definitely be picking some of his others up at some point. A movie is being released this fall and I don’t know how well it will translate accross mediums but we’ll see. I hope they do it justice. I had been missing the feeling of sitting down and reading a book for enjoyment. With IB texts thrown at us all year, I found myself not reading anything just for me and I’m looking forward to doing that more now. I just bought a collection of Albert Camus’ and I think I’ll start that next. Peace.
