4 Great Years of Baseball.

Today my team lost our first sectional game which means we are done.  We lost 8-7 to Mound-Westonka and they scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th (we play 7 innings not 9) with two outs.  We played well but had a 7-1 lead at one point then they tied it.  In the seventh there was a controversial balk called against us that sent the runner on first into scoring position, he then scored on a single that hit the left field foul line.  It was a close game all the way and a tough one to lose but I things just didn’t go our way this time and that’s ok.  It happens.  I was pleased with my own play and I think the team, in general, played well.  It’s sad to end on such a close game and so early on in the sectionals but we had a great season.

This is the best team I’ve ever played for and I had a lot of fun.  I couldn’t ask for a better group of guys to play with, I had a great time and I think my teammates did as well.  Our final record was 11-9 but that does our team little justice.  We played very strongly throughout the year and always stayed in the games, even the ones we lost.  I couldn’t ask for a better way to end my four years of playing high school baseball.  Peace.
