Got to go to New York City yesterday with the photo department to bum around galleries all day. A highlight for me was to see Lars Tunbjork’s show at the Amador Gallery. I really like his book Vinter and I’d really love to see this exhibition in a book. Another highlight was Nan Goldin’s Scopophilia at Mathew Marks. Such raw intimacy, it’s amazing. Was pretty disappointed by Andreas Gursky’s show at Gagosian. All I could think about was how enormous the files must be and how big of a printer you would need to print them. But I guess they sell? Got two small books from Printed Matter. One by someone I’d never heard of, Rie Suzuki and the other a Nicholas Gottlund book called Mr. Natural. It was good trip.

The Daredevil Christopher Wright is on a tour of Canada these days and along the way got this video shot of them performing I And Thou, one of my favorite new tracks of theirs. Check it out and also check out their new website (I just found out about this today!). Well done guys! Peace.

Going to Toronto this weekend.

Fall break is this week. Hopefully finding a place to stay Wednesday and Thursday night and then meeting up with my girlfriend’s family on Friday. Excited! Toronto is a sweet city.

I’m going to London next semester.

Yup. Not L.A. like my plan up until a month ago was. Got a new program over there at my school’s London campus that one of of my favorite professors put together so it changed all my plans. He’s got a bunch of internships set up for us, a class on contemporary photography, a collaborative media production course, and it’s in London, so… yeah, I can’t pass it up. I’m excited! I’ve never been there so it’ll be totally new.
