Two Years on Tumblr

So the first week of August marks two years on Tumblr and since I’m going out of town this week, I thought I’d take a look back as I did last August at some of my favorite other Tumblr based blogs.

Goingforpicture- great to see a small glimpse into what the independent film industry looks like through the eyes of an AD.

With my membership at the Minneapolis Photo Center, I was able to develop the film I shot this summer.  I just uploaded a set from one of my brother’s baseball games.  You can see the rest of the ones from that day by clicking here.  There are more to come very soon!  Peace.

So last weekend I went camping up in northern Wisconsin and I brought my camera along.  I have had a frustrating summer creatively so I was glad that I got some shots that I was pretty happy with.  This one and the one below are my favorites on first look through.  Peace.

Although terribly censored so that youtube wouldn’t even show me the real version, this video was cool. At the same time seemed like an epic LEVIS commercial or something…idk… the song trumps the video definitely. Cee Lo is awesome.

I just took a tour of the Minneapolis Photo Center (this photo is from their website) and I plan on getting a membership for the summer.  It’s a great space that gives it’s members access to darkrooms, studios, digital labs, film scanners and a whole plethora of other awesome photo things.  I’ve been shooting some film and I just bought some more film today so I’ll be shooting and developing in the weeks to come.  It’s exciting.  Peace.

(photo via) I got the opportunity to see two amazing bands on Saturday.  Why? and Deerhoof played First Ave. in their only show together on this tour.  It was a great mix of the lyrically stellar Why? alongside the instrumentally stunning and experimental Deerhoof.  I got this sweet silk screen print poster that has a landscape of parts from the 35-W Bridge that collapsed.  It was a great show.  Peace. “I want to speak at an intimate decibel with the precision of an infinite decimal”
